Course Overview
This programme examines financial concepts such as capital, cash budgets and analysis of financial statements, taxation, and commercial law; and provides a comprehensive overview of financial management. In this way, while primarily gaining specialized financial skills, students consider and evaluate different factors in making informed decisions for continued financial growth in an organization.
Course Objectives
Graduates should be able to:
- Display knowledge of selected day-to-day management functions of a business
- Appreciate financial principles of accountability, cost-effectiveness, cost-efficiency and value for money
- Obtain employment in accounting firms and finance departments in the public or private sector
